note from the diary : working with a projection aimed at a blank sheet, i train myself to accept inaccuracies in the transmission of information through the visual means of material tools. i remind myself that drawing is never an end in itself. a transparent color spot is superimposed on top of the unfocused landscape - during the writing it becomes grossly impenetrable; a randomness of graphite specks of dust is rubbed into the paper; rough tactual facturas - they flatten, losing their natural incarnation in twodimensional, becoming only a textural reminder; a color - is translated into the language of available materials at hand; shapes - conventional signs, presences; attention concentrates objects in the field of view - catching the projection in the frame - embodying on the format; sparks - are expressed by smears of paint; emotional flow - it becomes a linear statement of a feeling that is frozen in a sequence; the ideal of transmission is unattainable. enjoying the role of an observer, without trying to rationalize, freeing myself from this need. i catch the insight that brings confidence.
